The town of Salas is located on the road between Oviedo and Luarca. There are documents in the place telling about the existence of a tower and a castle since 1124.
In the midtown the tower of the Valdés is showing up attached to the neighbouring Palace belonging to the Counts of Miranda. This tower with the other parts of this architectural group are all connected together.
