The
Hotel is located at the end of one of the stages along
the primary old road.
The Camino Primitivo (primary road) was a startpoint
of the Road of Santiago. The first marked-out path
started in the sixth Century when Alfonso II the Chaste
set off from Oviedo, the Kingdom's Court at that time,
to the "Campus Stellae" to visit the recently
discovered grave of the Saint. Many pilgrims used
this road on their way to Santiago.
In the Middle Ages it was sayed "The one who
goes to Santiago and do pay a visit to the Savior,
is going to the servant's house without paying a visit
to his Lord".
